Bloodshot eyes open
Heavenward gaze
Bloodless skin broken
Blank empty face
Bloody throat swollen
N’oh my God, please!

Frantic mind rushing
Hand on lifeless skin
Slap, slap it hard
Infuse it back within

But limp and laying
Eyes betraying change

Hope departs
Never seen again
